I was born in Japan and adopted into a Japanese and Jewish family. I grew up in Kansas but never felt like I fit in there. I battled intense social anxiety and depression for the first half of my life.
My time in undergrad at the University of Colorado in Boulder created a profound appreciation for nature. I studied Psychology and Environmental Studies which are still two of my favorite topics to learn about.
After college I bought a one-way ticket to Australia and worked in the Australian Outback for a year. I landed a marketing and sustainable tourism internship in Bolivia where I was able to travel through magical and diverse landscapes.
I explored additional careers and taught English in Spain for a year. After teaching, I moved to England and completed a Masters In International Business and Management.
Before beginning my career in mental health, I worked in digital advertising strategy, software sales and sustainability.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed and culturally responsive. I integrate evidence-based modalities while staying deeply attuned to your lived experience.

After being laid off, I felt a huge sense of relief and I realized I was miserable in my former field. I decided to once again explore careers in mental health while incorporating elements of the natural world in my practice.
All of my experiences have shaped how I understand stress, identity and the ultimate human desire to find belonging and meaning in the world.
I am a therapist-in-training who believes healing happens when people feel deeply seen, safe and understood.
I’m especially drawn to the layers beneath the surface—the experiences, nervous system patterns and ways of thinking that shape our internal world as well as our lived experiences.
